For Laminating the melamine coated paper on MDF/ Particleboard, there are two options -
- Importing melamine coated papers in refrigerated containers; or
- In-house melamine coating of Indian /Imported plain decorative papers.
In the second option, there is no need for importing in refrigerated containers. On the other hand, decorative papers can be imported in bigger rolls, to save on the cost.
Horizontal impregnation lines are designed to coat melamine in a single stage machine or UF / phenol + melamine in the double stage machine, depending on the market demand. These lines are used extensively in High pressure laminates (HPL) also.
GoodRich offers horizontal impregnation lines, which have two options-
- Two � stage horizontal Impregnation line;
or
- Single stage horizontal Impregnation line.

Production process for two-stage Horizontal Impregnating Line -
- The raw papers pass through the unwinder, the �S� conveyor rollers, and breathing rollers into coating rollers.
- After first impregnation, the paper will be pulled out from the first air flotation dryer,then pass through the second coating machine and second drying section for drying again.
- Then the paper will pass through the web aligner and pull rollers, and will be conveyed onto the stacking, after cut by paper cutter.
Special Characteristics of two-stage Horizontal Impregnating line-
- The first and second impregnating machine both apply single-sided coating & the resin pick-up can be precisely controlled.Even the oiled paper and the uneven weight paper can be coated evenly.
- Variety: decorative paper, overlaying paper,wear-resistant paper.
- Technology: the impregnated paper has four resin films. Can use �, �, � urea resin coating technologies, according to actual demands.
- Frequency converter, non-stop speed-regulating.
- Working speed: 6-20 m/min.
- The two air flotation dryers-both use the same heat source (steam or thermal oil).
- The electric control system is operated by PLC.The operation is direct and reliable.
- The paper tension can be automatically adjusted; the paper length can be set according to actual demands. The number of paper is automatically counted.
- The electric control parts are imported,which are accurate, reliable and durable.
